The Most Economical Modern Railing System
2″ x 2″ x 1/8″ 6061 aluminum middle posts and 2″ x 2″ x 1/4″ terminal end posts, finished with a durable powder-coated finish. This option is ideal for projects located away from saltwater exposure. Care should be taken when selecting cable railing components to avoid galvanic corrosion that can occur when aluminum posts, stainless steel cables, and saltwater exposure are combined.

1″ x 3″ x 1/8″ 6063 aluminum with a powder-coated finish is the standard and most popular top rail option. It offers a sleek, minimal look with a wide usable surface and a thin 1″ vertical height to maximize transparency. The powder-coated finish is virtually maintenance-free compared to other options.
Surface mounting is the most common attachment method, offering a clean appearance from both the top of the deck and when viewed from below. Compared to fascia mounting, it can sometimes appear more pronounced when looking up at the deck underside. Surface mounting is highly versatile and suitable for installation on most surfaces. However, it is not recommended for waterproofed roofs or decks, as vertical penetrations may leak if not installed properly.
