Project Overview
For the Gwin Road residence, the goal was clear: a glass deck railing that offers safety without sacrificing the openness or view. The owners wanted a clean, minimalist look that integrates smoothly with their deck, no bulky posts, no intrusive rails, just glass.
We used a base-shoe mounting system to anchor ½″ tempered glass directly to the deck surface. This method keeps the installation low-profile and ensures structural stability while preserving clear sight-lines. The grey powder-coat finish gives a subtle, modern look that complements the deck and exterior architecture.
Because base-shoe systems are among the most efficient and cleanest frameless railing solutions, offering both strength and transparency, this installation delivers long-term durability, easy maintenance, and a refined aesthetic. As a result, the deck gains both safety and elegance without compromising the sense of open space.
