Project Overview
This backyard sits directly on the Novato lagoon, with a private dock and an uninterrupted view across the water to the hills beyond. Anything with posts or a top rail would have cut that view into slices.
We installed our spigot mount glass railing system – low-iron tempered glass panels carried on black powder-coated spigots, with no posts and no top rail. The glass runs along the lawn edge, the patio and the seawall, so the railing is continuous but visually almost absent.
The result is a code-compliant railing you look straight through. From the patio the lawn, the dock and the water read as one space, and the only maintenance is cleaning the glass.
