Project Overview
This Santa Rosa cable railing runs around a hilltop terrace looking over mature planting to the hills beyond. The owners wanted the garden and the long view to read as one, with nothing solid in between.
We installed our ThinLine cable railing system – 1/8 inch 316L marine grade stainless steel cable tensioned between 2×2 inch square aluminum posts side-mounted to the deck fascia, under a 3×1 top rail, in a silver powder coat that stays quiet against the planting.
Cable railing suits a garden terrace. The horizontal runs disappear against foliage, marine grade stainless will not stain or rust, and with no solid panel there is nothing to block the airflow that keeps a hilltop terrace usable through a Santa Rosa summer.
