Project Overview
This Vallejo horizontal railing runs the interior stair and landing of a remodelled home, where the stair sits at the centre of the entry and is the first thing you see coming through the door.
We installed our RectRail horizontal railing system indoors – 1 inch by half inch flat rectangular aluminum bar between 2×2 inch square aluminum posts, under a 3×1 top rail, in matte black powder coat, surface mounted to the treads and landing.
Horizontal bar suits an interior stair because it reads as architecture rather than joinery. The open runs let daylight move through the stairwell, and powder coated aluminum needs none of the sanding and refinishing a timber balustrade would ask for.
