## Project Overview

At the Tamalpais residence in Tiburon, the homeowners wanted a deck railing that would maximize their view, offering clear sightlines across the water and surrounding landscape, while staying durable and low-maintenance. Given the coastal proximity and exposure to marine air, a cable railing system made sense for combining strength with a minimalist, unobtrusive design.

We installed our ThinLine cable railing system using 316L marine-grade stainless-steel cables, paired with 6061 aluminum posts and topped with a rich Ipe hardwood rail for a warm, refined touch. All components are powder-coated matte-black for a modern aesthetic that complements the home’s design. The fascia-mount configuration ensures a clean installation that integrates seamlessly with the deck structure.

Because stainless steel cable railing is designed for longevity, corrosion resistance, and minimal upkeep, especially important in coastal settings, this installation offers both beauty and resilience. The result is a deck railing that feels open, modern, and timeless while providing safe, reliable barrier performance.
