Project Overview
On this Tiburon waterfront balcony, the breathtaking waterfront view is the star of the show, with the balcony stretching seamlessly along the home’s edge above the waterline. The homeowners sought a railing that would provide safety without obstructing the expansive, unobstructed views of the bay, preserving the sense of openness and natural beauty from every room and outdoor seating area.
To achieve this, we installed a Base Shoe Glass Rail System with clear safety glass panels, mounted using a Y mount method. The result is a sleek, nearly frameless glass system that maintains an uninterrupted flow of light and horizon, enhancing the openness of the space. The design ensures that the architectural lines remain clean, modern, and minimalistic, perfectly complementing the home’s exterior while maintaining the bay’s panoramic views.
This type of railing system is ideal for waterfront locations, where maintaining both safety and visual clarity are essential. The clear glass panels, along with the refined mounting system, allow for a secure yet nearly invisible barrier, offering a sophisticated, unobtrusive solution that fits perfectly with the premium Tiburon coastal setting. The finished installation enhances the balcony as an extension of the natural landscape, secure, modern, and intentionally understated.
