Project Overview
On Hampshire Street, the clients were looking for a deck railing that blends functionality with a modern, streamlined aesthetic, a railing that feels solid and safe but also complements the contemporary architecture of their home. They wanted a durable solution that would last, but also elevate the look of the outdoor living space without bulky visual weight.
We installed our RectRail Horizontal Rail System, choosing square aluminum posts and a matte dark-bronze powder-coat finish, a combination that’s both sleek and robust. The ½″ rectangular horizontal aluminum rails stretch cleanly across the span, creating crisp horizontal lines that emphasize openness and width rather than vertical clutter. The 3 × 1″ aluminum top bar adds subtle definition and a touch of structural integrity while staying visually minimal.
Because aluminum offers an excellent balance of strength, light weight, and low maintenance, this railing delivers long-term reliability without the upkeep demands of wood or heavier metals.
