Project Overview
Nestled on the southwest side of Belvedere Island, this home overlooks sweeping water and city views, including Richardson Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco skyline and Sausalito. The homeowners wanted a railing solution that would disappear visually and let the landscape and views take center stage. After evaluating different options, they chose our ClearView Glass Deck Railing System for its unparalleled clarity, minimalist style, and structural reliability.
We installed 9/16″ laminated glass panels secured by 2×2″ powder-coated aluminum posts, all finished in a crisp white that complements the house exterior. The frameless design, with no top rail, allows for panoramic, unobstructed sightlines: water, cityscape, sky, everything flows uninterrupted. Because the posts provide structural support, the installation is simpler than a full “base-shoe” style glass rail, making mounting and waterproofing less technically demanding, while still meeting rigorous engineering and safety standards.
The result is a deck railing that doesn’t just “railing,” it enhances. It integrates seamlessly with the architecture and landscape, elevating the home’s aesthetic while preserving the majesty of the surrounding views.
